Windows Client Developer Roundup 087 for 2/9/2012

Pete Brown - 08 February 2012

The Windows Client Developer Roundup aggregates information of interest to Windows Client Developers, including WinRT XAML, WPF, Silverlight, Visual C++, XNA, Expression Blend, Surface, Windows 7, Windows Phone, Visual Studio, WCF RIA Services and more. Sometimes I even include a little jQuery and HTML5. If you have something interesting you've done or have run across, or you blog regularly on the topics included here, please send me the URL and brief description via the contact link.

Note that I've started breaking the Netduino, Electronics, Robotics, Synthesizer and similar content into a new roundup series called the Maker Geek Roundup.

Oh and you'll get Windows 8 Consumer Preview on February 29. Get ready to code (and design) :)

Windows 8 and WinRT/Metro General

XAML Technologies (Silverlight, WPF, WinRT Metro XAML)

DirectX Technologies (DirectX, XNA, WinRT DirectX, GPU and Game Programming)

C++ and Native Development

Visual Studio and .NET General

NUI (Kinect, Surface, More)

Off-Topic Fun

I leave you with only the one "off-topic" item today, because after watching that, nothing else will ever suffice. Ever.

    This sound like a great place to visit regularly ecelsialpy when I struck on how do I do or when I want to learn new stuff. It would be even better if you guy can make sure the video resolution is clear enough to watch and there are source code to download. I know this is a lot to ask for a new site. Please keep up the good work.
