What’s New in Microsoft Silverlight 3

Take a tour of the new features in Silverlight 3 including a dive into some of the new experience oriented features like pixel shaders, perspective 3D, animation enhancements, bitmap APIs and improvements to the media stack. Also hear about new Silverlight base framework additions including updates to the style model, data binding improvements, improved resource handling, improvements to the web services stack and the Silverlight 3 out of browser model.  You will see how simple it is to build end-to-end data-intensive Silverlight applications with the new set of features in Silverlight 3 and .NET RIA Services.  Silverlight 3 includes a number of new features and controls that greatly simplify data entry & validation.  Microsoft .NET RIA Services simplifies the traditional n-tier application pattern by bringing together the ASP.NET and Silverlight platforms. The RIA Services provides a pattern to write application logic that runs on the mid-tier and controls access to data for queries, changes and custom operations. It also provides end-to-end support for common tasks such as data validation, authentication and roles by integrating with Silverlight components on the client and ASP.NET on the mid-tier.
