Windows Client Developer Roundup 049 for 11/22/2010

Pete Brown - 22 November 2010

This is Windows Client Developer roundup #49.

The Windows Client Developer Roundup aggregates information of interest to Windows Client Developers, including WPF, Silverlight, Visual C++, XNA, Expression Blend, Surface, Windows 7, Windows Forms, Windows Phone, Visual Studio, WCF RIA Services, sometimes even a little jQuery and HTML5. I also include fun non-Windows client tech like the .NET Micro Framework. If you have something interesting you've done or have run across, or you blog regularly on the topics included here, please send me the URL and brief description via the contact link.

Between PDC and Tech Ed Europe, I skipped a couple roundup posts, so we have a pretty full list this week

If you haven't already, be sure to register for the Silverlight Firestarter (either in-person or live streamed) for both awesome Silverlight 4 information you can use today, plus demos and futures information about the next release, directly from Scott Guthrie.

WPF and Silverlight General

WCF RIA Services

Visual Studio LightSwitch

Windows Phone 7

.NET Micro Framework

Visual Studio and .NET General

  1. Chrissays:
DateTimePicker with UpDown and CustomFormat...that's really missing?

WinForms has this so one would expect WPF controls to do at least all that WinForms controls can?

How many other WPF controls are missing functionality compared to WinForms versions?
