HtmlTextBlock for Silverlight

Pete Brown - 11 September 2007

This is a great control. We could have used the ability to display HTML text in the Carbon Calculator, and I've run into the limitation in other projects. If you want to display HTML rich text in your Silverlight application, and don't feel like parsing it yourself, check out the HtmlTextBlock. If it doesn't do everything you want, snag the source code and enhance it for your own needs.

Interesting that the control also points out a problem with the Silverlight rendering of Lucida Sans Unicode: bold and italic come through as normal. The same font in the browser displays correctly, and other fonts in Silverlight also display correctly.
